The Government have announced they are cancelling the Zero Carbon Building Policy. As a result of this change, both the 2016 zero carbon homes target and the 2019 target for non-domestic zero carbon buildings will be dropped and there will be no changes to Part L of Building Regs in any form during 2016. This probably only applies to England with Welsh Assembly Government free to do their own thing in Wales.

The Government have stated that it does not intend to proceed with the zero carbon allowable solutions carbon offsetting scheme, or the proposed 2016 increase in on-site energy efficiency standards.
