To deliver world class energy services we must have world class people and to recognise the achievements of our staff and keep that bar high, we’re setting all our energy engineers the goal of attaining chartered status in 2018. We do this to demonstrate that our people are best-in-class and that by attaining professional status in our industry, we can proudly claim to be experts and give the assurance to our customers that they have a world class team working for them.

We pride ourselves on being the thought-leaders in our industry and as such, we have decided to sponsor the newly-formed South Wales hub of the Energy Institute’s Young Professional Network. The YPN includes energy professionals under the age of 35 who have joined the industry within the last 10 years. It is affiliated with the South Wales and South West branch of the Energy Institute and excitingly part founded by Pilar de Dios Mendo, one of our Energy Solutions Engineers here at amber energy. Pilar took the initiative to set up this new hub within South Wales and expand the network. #challengethenorm

We believe that in South Wales alone we have exceptional talent and expertise and therefore, we are extremely proud to be sponsoring this event and to see the initiative our own young professionals are showing.

As the head of Energy Reduction and Engineering at amber and the Institutes youngest fellow, I’ll be talking about how professional development and affiliation with the Energy Institute has furthered my career. I urge the next generation of energy professionals to come along and see what’s on offer.

The event is to be held at the Gwdihw Café Bar in Cardiff 6.30-8.30pm on 15th November. For reservations to attend this event please go to https://www.energyinst.org/events/view/5053
