A new high-rise student accommodation scheme is set to be built next to Birmingham’s city council offices on the edge of the historic Gun Quarter.
The Lancaster Circus student housing scheme will consist of three blocks rising from 9 to 24 storeys and provide over 1,000 beds in a mix of studios and clusters of 5-7 rooms.
The occupants will benefit from best in class facilities with extensive shared spaces including common rooms, study zones, health and fitness, cinema and an impressive kitchen / living / dining space on the 24th floor, offering exceptional views over Birmingham City centre and beyond.
Contractor McAleer & Rushe has been lined up to deliver the scheme with designs by architect Urban Innovations. It will see the lower 9 storey-building clad in brick with the other two towers clad in a mix of dark grey and black metal panelled facade that help to disguise the location of the windows.
