West Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has enabled its employees to save money on their domestic energy bills, whilst donating money to charity, by organising a switching day in partnership with Cardiff based amber energy's innovative not- for- profit switching site; Energy Relief.

The switching day allowed employees to switch to the cheapest tariff and donate 100 per cent of the fee normally paid to the comparison site to a charity of their choice.

The biggest saver at the law firm, which has offices in Wolverhampton, Willenhall and Shropshire, saw a total saving of more than £600 across her dual energy bill with £40 donated to Marie Curie, one of the charities signed up to the Energy Relief site.

Victoria Wheeler, amber energy's head of projects, said: "It's great to see companies which already work with amber energy getting on board with our projects and promoting the importance of switching domestic energy supplier to their staff.

"The switching day was really successful with all participants saving money and donating to their chosen charities. We're already looking forward to growing this switching event with FBC Manby Bowdler next year and raising even more money for charity."

Kim Carr, Managing Partner at FBC Manby Bowdler, said: "This was a great opportunity for us to offer our staff a chance to reduce their energy bills as well as support charities that are important to them.

"It's a brilliant idea and we are looking forward to getting involved again next year."
